Welcome to the Serra Library!
Library Policies:
TK – 3rd grade classes visit the library once per week. 4th/5th grade students are allowed, at the teacher’s discretion, to visit the library to check out books as needed.
Students are allowed to check out two books maximum at any given time for a period of two weeks. Books must be returned before new ones can be checked out.
Any lost or damaged books will incur a fine that the student will be responsible for paying.
Birthday Book Club - The Birthday Book Club is a way for parents to honor their child's birthday and support the continued growth of the library.
Accelerated Reader - This is an exciting reading practice program at Serra School. Students choose books at their individual reading level and then take computerized quizzes to test their comprehension. Teachers determine each student's goal, as well as rewards for reaching those goals.
Visit http://library.venturausd.org and click on the link for our school. Once there you can search for books in the Serra Library, you will find the link to the Renaissance Place Home Connect feature for Accelerated Reader, and you can use the AR Book Finder link to search for books and see if there is an AR quiz available for a specific book.
